DigiCreds Pricing

Verifiable credentials issuance and verification, billed per credential.

Pricing Philosophy

Sovio pricing is based on trust operations, not user seats. Your cost scales with the number of verifications, credentials, signals, consent records, or ecosystem participants you process - not the number of employees or end-users you onboard. This ensures that pricing remains predictable as your identity infrastructure grows and aligns cost with the value you derive from each trust transaction.

What Counts for Billing

DigiCreds billing is based on two operations: credentials issued and credentials verified. Each verifiable credential cryptographically signed and delivered counts as one issuance. Each successful verification - including signature validation, status check, and schema compliance - counts as one verification. Credential revocation, suspension, and status list updates do not incur additional billing.

FAQs

What counts as a credential issued?
Each verifiable credential cryptographically signed and delivered to a holder's wallet counts as one issuance. Batch issuances are counted individually.
What counts as a credential verified?
Each successful verification of a credential by a verifier counts as one verification. This includes cryptographic signature verification, status check, and schema validation.
Are revoked credentials counted?
Revocation is a status update, not an issuance. Issued credentials count at the time of issuance regardless of subsequent revocation.
Does the Starter plan support DIDComm messaging?
DIDComm is available in Growth and Ecosystem plans. Starter uses REST-based issuance and verification flows.
Can credentials be issued without a wallet?
Yes. Credentials can be issued as signed files or via REST endpoints. Wallet integration is optional.
Can we deploy CREDEBL on our own infrastructure?
Yes. CREDEBL is open-source software. You can deploy it on your own infrastructure at no licence cost. Sovio offers Enterprise support plans for organisations that need SLA-backed engineering assistance with their self-hosted deployment.
What is the difference between DigiCreds SaaS and self-hosted CREDEBL?
DigiCreds SaaS is a fully managed service - Sovio handles infrastructure, scaling, updates, and compliance. Self-hosted CREDEBL gives you full control over deployment, data residency, and customisation but requires your team to manage operations. Both use the same core credential engine.

Open Source Deployment

DigiCreds is built on CREDEBL, an open-source LF Decentralized Trust project. Organisations can deploy and operate CREDEBL independently at no licence cost, with full access to the credential engine, DIDComm messaging, and OpenID4VC flows. For organisations that prefer a managed service, Sovio offers the SaaS plans above. For those with the operational capability, self-hosting CREDEBL provides full control over infrastructure, data residency, and customisation.

CREDEBL open source repository: github.com/credebl - Apache 2.0-licensed, community-governed, and production-ready.

CREDEBL Support Plans

For organisations self-hosting CREDEBL, Sovio offers support plans that provide SLA-backed engineering assistance, deployment guidance, and ongoing maintenance.

Community

Free, self-hosted open-source deployment of CREDEBL. Access to the core credential engine, DIDComm messaging, and OpenID4VC issuance and verification flows. Community support via GitHub Discussions and Discord.

Core CREDEBL engine, REST APIs, DIDComm, OpenID4VC issuance & presentation, community documentation.

Enterprise

Commercial support and consulting for organisations running CREDEBL in production. Includes SLA-backed support, custom feature development, deployment assistance, and priority bug fixes.

Everything in Community plus production SLA, dedicated engineering support, custom feature development, deployment consulting, security patches, and priority updates.
